Lt. Governor Betty Parker
Betty Parker and Modie Moore retired as educators from Connecticut before moving to San Diego in 2001. Since that time they began new careers and exciting projects. Betty returned to school life for six years and joined the Kiwanis Club of San Marcos. She then focused her energies on Kiwanis and has found it to be a most rewarding project. In her free time she creates pysanky and stained glass. Betty currently works part-time for Beauty Services and Ferguson SalonManagement. Modie returned to school to get a Culinary Arts degree. He currently plays the trombone in the Coastal Communities Concert Band, and teaches vegetable carving at Grossmont Community College while working part time at The Golden Door. Betty and Modie love to go to the movies, travel, and enjoy their quiet time at home with their cat, Cleome.
