An Open Letter To
All Division 37 Kiwanians
On April 7, 2007 the Presidents of Division 37's nineteen clubs, on your behalf, cast their ballot for your next Lieutenant Governor. My sincerest thanks go to them and to each of you for your vote of confidence. I am truly humbled that you vested your trust in me as Division 37's next Lieutenant Governor. Rest assured that I take this honor seriously and will perform the duties of Lieutenant Governor to the best of my ability.
As many of you already know, I along with many others, personally encouraged Betty Parker to run for the position of Lieutenant Governor Elect 2007 - 2008. We are thoroughly delighted that you agreed with us by selecting her. Together, as a team, Betty and I will do our best to ensure Division 37 maintains its reputation as the one Division that all others attempt to emulate. We can only do that with your continued help and support.
Maurie and I look forward to representing your Division as your Lieutenant Governor and First Lady. Soon we will begin initial contact visits to each club. On that visit to your club, I ask that each current President arrange for us to speak with your incoming President and Secretary for a few moments after your club meeting.
My term does not begin until October 1, 2007. Until that time I will continue to support our incumbent Lieutenant Governor, Newell Dubail, in all matters pertaining to our Division. There is still much that needs to be accomplished; we have service to perform. Let's do it, together.
Thanks for your support,
Walt Schuette
Lieutenant Governor Designate 2007 - 2008
